The United States Could Become An Autocracy If Donald Trump Becomes President In 2024

Donald Trump is a serious threat to democracy because he and most members of the Republican party are in favor of increasing the power of the president. Republicans believe that if the president could bypass Congress and the courts he could accomplish more. When Donald Trump was president he told his lawyer Michael Cohen that he wanted to pass an amendment to the Constitution that would allow the president to hold office for a minimum of fifteen years. Donald Trump lied and said the 2020 presidential race was rigged and that he had won the election rather than Joe Biden. Like all autocrats Donald Trump refused to accept the will of the voters. As Americans we must vote and prevent Donald Trump from winning the 2024 presidential race in order to preserve our democratic way of life.
